Welcome to Our Nature Explore Play Space

 Welcome to Cape Cod's first certified Nature Explore outdoor classroom! Dirt digging, climbing, water play, building, sand play, messy materials, play house, wood working, dream area, music area and stage; all challenge children daily to develop skills and just play. Not only do our children play, explore and have fun, learn problem solving and sharing, they also have the opportunity to reconnect with the beauty and opportunity of nature! 

Nature Explore is a joint venture of the Arbor Day Foundation and the Dimensions Educational Research Foundation and is grounded on the research that Dimensions has been conducting since 1998.

Through play in nature settings, children – especially those children who struggle with traditional education methods – observe, learn and correlate information; socially coordinate with others; experience geometry concretely; orient themselves in spatial activities (being aware of your place in space) and develop creativity through unstructured improvisation and expression. Unstructured play is critical to each child’s development, and we make sure they go outside in all kinds of weather.
