Welcome to our Seedling - Sprout Space

“Little children, from the moment they are weaned, are making their way toward independence” — Maria Montessori

WELCOME

The Seedling/Sprout environment offers our students a unique opportunity to develop their sense of autonomy. This space features a smaller setting, allowing teachers more personalized instruction and individualized support. Older children can learn to take on more of a leadership role. Younger children can be motivated by their older peers.

Through exploration and guidance, children work on developing their independence and senses. Through observation, teachers introduce new activities and works into the space. Language, problem solving, and concentration are some of the many things children work on. Classroom materials reflect the children’s interests and skills. Many children begin their Montessori experience here and are encouraged to continue their journey and development through Children’s House.

Teachers facilitate an enriching, child-centered environment, encouraging and allowing children to grow and develop in a calm and nurturing manner. They spend time outdoors, year-round, learning and growing physically and emotionally.
