Montessori Beginnings is celebrating 10 years serving families in Barnstable and Plymouth County. The school has been participating in community outreach over the years and works to convey the importance of this to the students. “We are a community of faculty, families and children. We help the children understand the importance of being part of their school community and the importance of trying to make a difference in the community around them.” said Kathy Raymond, Head of School.

Montessori Beginnings has led the way in understanding, respecting and teaching Infants, Toddlers and Pre-primary children for 10 years. We believe Montessori fulfills the child’s need to be independent, creative individuals, and we incorporate other best teaching strategies so children are prepared for success. The students experience “Freedom Within Limits”, receiving individual attention since teacher/child ratios are small. This allows teachers the freedom to focus on what’s most important – each child.

Montessori Beginnings School Celebrating its Tenth Year Serving Families.

SANDWICH, Ma. – September 12, 2014 – Montessori Beginnings has been recognized as the number one childcare on Cape Cod by Cape Cod Magazine, just as the school begins to celebrate its tenth anniversary. “What better place to have our school than in a community that has supported us for ten years? We are thrilled to offer our philosophy and care to more families in the coming years,” comments Kathleen Raymond, Owner and Head of School.

Montessori Beginnings School first offered its Montessori based educational program and care to families with infants and toddlers to now serving families with children aged twelve months to six years. Ms. Raymond reflects, “Over the years we have been blessed to have the responsibility and opportunity to nurture life-long learners, critical thinkers; our adults of tomorrow. We are passionate about making each child and family’s experience a positive one.”

When asked what makes Montessori Beginning’s model  successful, Education Director, Jen Curtis is quick to point out, “the Montessori Method is tailored to each child’s needs and learning styles. Whatever misinformation is out there about “Montessori”, it is an in depth, child-centered philosophy that is as current today with the new STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) initiative as it was over a century ago”.

Montessori Beginnings will “kick off” their tenth year with a Fall Festival for its families, events throughout the year, culminating in a Springtime Gala.
