About Our Staff
Head of School / Infant / Toddler / Preschool Teacher- Kathy Raymond
Kathy is finishing her Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Lesley University and currently awaits teacher licensure from
the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She is graduated from the North American Montessori Center for Infants and Toddlers,currently
certified with the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) and a member of the NAEYC (National Association for the Education of
Young Children).  Kathy has an extensive background in management and customer service and has also been teaching  for the past
four years.  She has been a nanny and Girl Scout troop leader.  She believes a teacher along with  family are touchstones toward
success for each and every child.   It is Kathy's personal goal to help every child feel successful and reach their utmost potential.

Program Director / Preschool Lead Teacher:  Jen Curtis
Jen is currently completing her Bachelor's degree at Lesley University; as a candidate for her Early Childhood Development degree.  She
has her Massachusetts Teachers certification. Jen received her Director I and II certification from the Department of Early Education and
Care in 2007. She is graduated from the North American Montessori Center specializing in the Preschool/Kindergarten Program. Jen
was a nanny for over fifteen years and spent eight years teaching preschool children.  She is a National Association for the Education of
Young Children(NAEYC) member and mother of one.  One of Jen's steadfast beliefs is: "Teachers are just one of the tools that help
children learn and grow".

Preschool Teacher: Nicole Donovan
  
 Nicole began her Montessori journey as an Assistant teasher in duxbury. She fell in love with the Montessori philosophy and started
her teacher training through Northeast Montessori Institute. After having her first child, she left her teaching position and opened a
licensed daycare out of her home; providing care for young shildren while she raised her own. Now that her four boys are in school full-
time she has been able to return to her Montessori roots. In addition to her AMS Early Childhood Credential, she has also been teacher
certified by the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) for infant, toddler and preschool aged children. Nicole is currently working
towards a BA in English at Bridgewater State University.


Toddler Lead Teacher:  Jennifer Morse
Jennifer graduated from the American Montessori Society’s Northeast Montessori Institute in June, 2001.  She began her teaching
career in 1998 as an Assistant Toddler Teacher in the Montessori Day School in Acton, MA.  After relocating to Cape Cod, Jennifer spent
two years as a Lead Teacher at Sandwich Montessori School.  She was instrumental in planning the toddler curriculum for the startup of
Montessori Beginnings in September, 2004.  Jennifer received her Director 1 certification from the Department of Early Education and
Care in March 2008.  She and her husband reside in Yarmouthport and have two grown daughters.



Toddler Teacher:  Maura Gallagher
Maura has been with us since September, 2008. she has a B.A. in Biology and a Psychology minor from Salve Regina University. Maura
has spent time in the public school system-working with Kindergarten through Grade 8 with a focus on Special Education. She has
received training through the North East Montessori Teacher Education Center.
Maura believes in and loves the Montessori philosophy and approach to teaching. She has integrated Montessori at home with her own
daughter, who is now twelve years old.  Maura has worked in our Infant program and now works with our Toddler program. She believes
we all need to fail before we can reach success. As she likes to say; "Invest time in your children, they are the future."


Infant/Young Toddler Lead Teacher: Kathleen Dunn
 Kathleen has rejoined us after being our Director when Montessori Beginnings first opened its doors in 2004. She has worked in the
field of education for more than 25 years. She has worked as a Director, Curriculum Coordinator and Lead Teacher. her love of children
shows in all her interactions in the classroom. Her application of Montessori principles in the classroom has established a solid
foundation for all the infants and young toddlers in her care. Kathleen is married and has recently celebrated the birth of her first
granddaughter!  


Infant/Young Toddler Assistant: Annick Galli
 
Annick joined us last year following her work as a nanny to two families. She has her Associate in Liberal Art from Dean College and
also holds a certification as a Nurse's Aid. She has received training through the NorthEast Montessori Teacher Education Center. She
currently awaits her teacher certification from the Department of Early Education and Care.
 Annick takes an active interest in the children she cares for. She especially loves helping care for her godson and friend's children. She
is currently engaged to be married in the fall of 2011 and plans to incorporate Maria Montessor's "child-centered" philosophy when
raising her own children.

Infant/Young Toddler/Preschool Assistant: Barbara Cataldo
 
 Barbara joined Montessori Beginnings three years ago after working for more than twenty years in the field of education with infants,
toddlers and preschoolers
. She has received training through the North East Montessori Teacher Center. Barbara's level of commitment
to the children in her care is admirable. She brings humor, grace and dedication in all she does. Barbara is married and is blissfully
happy doting on her grandson during her offtime!
