"Within the child lies the fate of the
future.”
ABOUT THE SCHOOL

The goal of the school is to enable children to follow their greatest interest while learning
about the world immediately around them.  The classrooms will allow children to be
discoverers in the learning process.  Each activity is designed to teach a specific concept.
The teacher will present materials and allow each child to proceed at his or her own pace.
Montessori Beginnings will provide a safe and healthy environment that supports the social,
emotional, and intellectual growth of each child.

Montessori Beginnings is not only a child-centered program; it is a family-centered one. We
understand that children are best served when parents’ concerns are understood and
addressed in conjunction with the needs of their children. Our mission is not only to provide
the best possible program for children, but to serve as a resource and support to families as
well.

Enrollment is open to children between the ages of 6 weeks and 5 years of age.  We have
created flexible schedules (full day, extended day, all week, 3 days or 2 days) to
accommodate the variety of needs our parents have and are open year-round.

Montessori Beginnings shall not discriminate against any person on the basis of his or her
race, gender, age religion, sexual orientation, national origin, cultural heritage, political
beliefs or marital status, except that as to the age of children the provisions of any license
issued to the Corporation by any municipality of the Commonwealth shall govern the policy
of the Corporation.
ABOUT MONTESSORI

Maria Montessori (1870-1952) developed her educational method from a
profound appreciation for the power and mystery of the child.

The child, given primary respect, makes spontaneous choices within a
prepared environment, and is able to "create himself”.

Students in all parts of the world are greatly benefiting from this
understanding of discipline, which teaches freedom and responsibility.
