Mission Statement: We are a school that considers not only the physical development of the child but the emotional and social aspects as well. We consider and respect a child's different approaches to learning. We help them figure out how the world works and allow them to become more organized, while helping them "learn how to learn".
Learning is an exciting process of discovery. This develops concentration, motivation, self-discipline, and a love of learning. We strive for "freedom within limits" by creating an inspiring environment for your child to realize academic, social, and personal potential.
Montessori Beginnings is not only a child-centered program, but a family-centered one. We understand children are best served when families' concerns are understood and addressed in conjunction with the needs of their children. Our mission is not only to provide the best possible program for children, but to serve as a resource and support to families as well. Families and faculty commit to creating a partnership and sense of community for each child. We are more then a school - we are a foundation for life!
Tuition includes snacks and lunch each day for our toddler classrooms and snacks each day with lunch provided on Fridays for our Pre-primary/Kindergarten (3-6 yrs) classroom. Tuition also covers the cost of all curriculum enrichment activities including visits from Green Briar Nature Center, Mass. Audubon, our Fall Festival, Ice Cream Social and other events throughout the year.
Enrollment is open to children between the ages of 12 months to 6 years of age. We offer a 10% sibling discount. We have created flexible schedules (full day, early and after care, 5 days, 3 days or 2 days) to accommodate the variety of needs our families have and we are open year-round, 7:30 AM until 6:00 PM.
The goal of the school is to enable children to follow their greatest interest while learning about the immediate world around them. The child's environment creates order, concentration, coordination, and independence with the loving support of a caring faculty. The classrooms allow children to be discoverers in the learning process. Each activity is designed to teach a specific concept. Each specially trained teacher will present materials and allow each child to proceed at his or her own pace. Montessori Beginnings provides a safe and healthy environment that supports social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth of each child.
